Careful planning is essential to ensure that educational benefits are balanced with appropriate safety precautions and that visits meet the needs and expectations of the group.

Educational Purpose

When planning an overseas visit, the educational aims should be clearly defined. Visits should support curriculum learning, personal development and wider cultural awareness.

Clear learning outcomes help ensure that the visit has a meaningful purpose and provides value for participants.

Choosing a Destination

Selecting a destination should involve careful consideration of several factors, including:
